The Special Olympics School Day Games are school-based sporting events which showcase the athletic skills of students with ID/DD, and which promote inclusion, acceptance, and respect.
In the early aughts, North Andover kicked off its annual Special Olympics School Day Games, a one-day celebration of our athletes from Pre-K to Age 22. This grew to become the Andover / North Andover Special Olympics School Day Games in 2018, when Andover accepted North Andover’s invitation to partner. Andover has since hosted the Games every other year, most recently in 2025.
This year, we are excited to launch the Junior Special Olympics School Day Games — to give our youngest athletes their own special day with their own special program.
