The Arc of Massachusetts

The Arc creates tangible changes in the community and in the lives of people with disabilities, through advocacy, programs that promote inclusion, and activities and events that engage the community.

Center for Parent Information and Resources (CPIR)

CPIR is a hub of information for the network of Parent Centers serving families of children with disabilities.

Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts (CLCM)

CLCM promote and secure equal justice and to maximize opportunity for low-income children and youth by providing quality, culturally-sensitive advocacy and legal services.

Disability Law Center (DLC)

The Disability Law Center (DLC) is the Protection and Advocacy (P&A) agency for Massachusetts.  DLC is a private, non-profit organization responsible for providing protection and advocacy for the rights of Massachusetts residents with disabilities. DLC receives federal, state and private funding but is not part of the state or federal government. As the P&A, federal law provides DLC extensive access authority.

Division for Children & Youth with Special Health Needs

The Division for Children & Youth with Special Health Needs at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) works with families, providers, and others to support children and youth with special health needs, from birth to age 22, and their families. 

Family TIES (Together in Enhancing Support) of Massachusetts

A project of the FCSN, Family TIES is a program that provides information, training, and parent-to-parent emotional support to families of children and youth with special health needs, disabilities, or chronic illnesses. 

Federation for Children with Special Needs (FCSN)

FCSN aims to empower families, engage diverse communities, and eliminate barriers to improve life outcomes for all children and young adults, especially those with disabilities.

Insurance Resource Center for Autism and Behavioral Health

The Insurance Resource Center for Autism and Behavioral Health provides resources for consumers, providers, clinicians, employers, and educators on issues related to medical insurance for autism and behavioral treatments. We are a program of The Shriver Center, a division of the UMass Chan Medical School. 

MassFamilies

MassFamilies aims to provide sustained advocacy and leadership training in pursuit of high quality, individualized community support and service options, including family support, for people with disabilities and their families.

Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee (MHLAC)

MHLAC provides legal and policy advocacy for people with mental health challenges throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. A state agency of the judiciary, MHLAC’s central priority is to ensure that clients can live full and independent lives in their communities. MHLAC also seeks to protect its clients in institutional settings from abusive treatment that can wreak permanent psychological damage.

Parent/Professional Advocacy League (PPAL)

PPAL is a statewide, grassroots family  organization that advocates for improved access to mental health services for children, the youth, and their families.

Parents Helping Parents

Parents Helping Parents connects parents with parents in both virtual and community support groups to share challenges, express frustrations, and ask questions.

Sibling Support

Founded in 1990, the Sibling Support Project is the first national program dedicated to recognizing, promoting and addressing the life-long and ever-changing concerns of millions of siblings of people with developmental, health, and mental health concerns.
